The Anchorage Chamber of Commerce welcomed Gov. Bill Walker, First Lady Donna Walker, Sen. David Wilson, Rep. Ivy Sponholz, among others, to celebrate the signing of Alaska Senate Bill 105. The new law titled “An Act relating to the licensure of marital and family therapists; providing for a state policy relating to children; relating to medical assistance for marital and family therapy services; relating to disclosure of health care services and price information; relating to health care insurers; and providing for an effective date.”

The bill was first introduced April 3, 2018 in the Senate, sponsored by Senator David Wilson; the House version was sponsored by Representatives Ivy Sponholz and Harriett Drummond; and
Alaska’s First Lady, Donna Walker, has been working in support of this legislation.
