Anchorage Heart Walk 2109

Many people and dogs of Anchorage walked this morning, with a cheerful heart, during the annual American Heart Association & American Stroke Association Heart Walk 2019. The over cast skies and cool temperature did not discourage walkers, and their dogs, from walking the along a predetermined path in downtown Anchorage. Starting and ending at the west end of the Delaney Park Strip. Aliy Zirkle, took the stage to lead people, and their dogs, in warm-up yoga. There were many booths of supporters of this event, who provided information, free helpful items, including a blood pressure check at the Alaska Nurses Association station. This annual event is free, fun, good for the body, and a chance to smile with other people of the community. To learn more, go to https://www2.heart.org/site/TR?fr_id=4225&pg=entry
